Meredith Kirkman is a young executive, filmmaker, and choreographer. Born and raised in Vail, Colorado, she developed a passion for the arts and her community. At the young age during middle school, she was directing musicals while providing childcare for up to ten children. By high school, she was co-directing and choreographing the spring musicals, began her school’s show choir, established the internship and ambassador program with the Vail Dance Festival, while gaining exposure to professional dancers worldwide. During this time, she honed her dance and theater skills, resulting in memorable stage experiences. Meredith pursued her passions further and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. This theater conservatory instilled discipline and creativity, providing a unique college experience.
After graduation, she directed a feature film with her producing partner, Andrew Tamarkin, and together they founded Kirkman Tamarkin Productions LLC. "The Promise of the Butterfly" was filmed and completed in Chicago, premiered at the 2019 Vail Film Festival, and is distributed on Prime Video. This organic process motivated her to continue exploring film through youth outreach initiatives. She created HER Film Camp, a project with YouthPower365, to support #WomeninFilm, fostering the upcoming generation with experiences of storytelling and film production. Over four years, they produced over 15 short films with 200 different middle school girls throughout Eagle County.
Back in Vail, she also worked at a consulting firm, CFC Collective, which served nonprofit organizations coast to coast with high-profile executives, professional athletes, and celebrities. She managed events, leadership conferences, social campaigns, and editing projects. Meredith's choreography experience continued to lead to opportunities to work on musicals, halftime shows, competition dances, and studio dance classes. She later became a TV host and Producer for a new morning show with the local paper Vail Daily, which later partnered with OutsideWatch and MountainTV as “Vail Valley Live”. Her vision, performance and editing skills helped her thrive on this small production team.
In late 2023, Meredith moved to Los Angeles to seek work opportunities, mentorship, and creativity on a new level. She is eager to make her mark in entertainment.
